In 2024, over 2,400 employees volunteered more than 14,600 hours, benefiting over 850 organizations. Our global initiatives focus on education, youth skill development, healthcare and sustainability, underscoring our dedication to positive community impact worldwide.
Smile for educational opportunity
The Helping Hands program is a key part of R1’s commitment to good corporate citizenship. One of its significant contributions is through the Smile Foundation, where our employees fund school education for 485 children annually. This initiative provides educational opportunities and supports over 3,200 youth in enhancing or learning new skills to gain employment.
Charity care
In collaboration with Narayana Health Charitable Trust, R1 funds medical treatment for individuals from economically weaker sections of society. In 2024 alone, over 100 patients received necessary medical treatment thanks to the program.
Mobility support
R1 India employees actively participated in assembling wheelchairs across various locations, including Gurgaon, Tikri, Noida, Chennai and Hyderabad. This initiative addressed the lack of affordable healthcare, promoting inclusivity and improving the well-being and livelihoods of individuals who require mobility support.
Shining a light
The “Light A Life” initiative is another remarkable example of R1’s commitment to sustainability and community support. Over 150 employees joined forces to assemble solar lamps for regions with limited access to electricity, providing reliable lighting sources and significantly improving the quality of life for these communities.
Sensory experience
In collaboration with Goodera, more than 170 R1 employees created sensory boxes for children with autism and special needs. This effort fosters a supportive and inclusive environment, expanding the worlds of these children and enhancing their sensory experiences.
Blood donation
Because blood is life, R1 partnered with India Cares Foundation to hold a blood donation camp, demonstrating its dedication to community health. With 250 successful donations, this initiative supported thalassemia patients and overall community health.
Pride and purpose
R1 celebrates diversity and inclusion through initiatives like Pride eye mask making. Engaging over 200 employees, this activity supports the LGBTQIA+ community by promoting visibility and acceptance.
Toys during treatment
On Children’s Day 2024, R1 employees crafted handmade stuffed toys for children with severe illnesses. These toys provide comfort and emotional support during treatment and recovery, bringing hope and joy to critically ill children.
Regular outreach
R1 Philippines employees actively engage in quarterly outreach programs, contributing to local communities through gift-giving drives, volunteer activities and tree planting programs. These efforts underline R1’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.
Laptop recycling and donation
In partnership with Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship, R1 donated over 200 recycled laptops to the Lighthouse Primary School in Tanzania. Serving 200+ K-6 students, these laptops open new opportunities for learning and engagement, improving educational outcomes. R1 also partnered with Combined Arms to donate over 200 devices to Afghan and Iraqi Special Immigrant Visa recipients and their families. These laptops support their resettlement journeys in the U.S., helping them pursue education, employment and networking opportunities.
