Cory Cooney is Director of Product at R37, R1’s generative AI lab, where he leads the appeals and delivery product team. His team builds generative AI products designed to make the revenue cycle faster, simpler and more seamless.
Cory brings more than 10 years of healthcare experience spanning revenue cycle management, product development and strategic consulting. He spent seven years as a revenue cycle consultant at Triage Consulting Group, which is now part of R1. While there, he worked on hospital and professional billing underpayments and developed products supporting hospital coding, charging and pharmaceuticals.
Previously, Cory worked for Oliver Wyman, where he advised healthcare providers and payers on strategy, operations and organizational design. He holds an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management from the University of Michigan.
