Sarah Mendiola Esq., LPN, CPC, CPCO, is a vice president of revenue cycle operations at R1 RCM, Inc. She has spent more than 10 years specializing in revenue cycle denial management.
With both a clinical and legal background, Sarah provides R1 clients with guidance, analysis and expertise in healthcare claim audits, denial prevention and management, Medicare appeals, clinical documentation improvement and billing/coding audits.
Sarah graduated from the practical nursing program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and served on active duty in the United States Army for six years as a nurse. It was during this time that she developed a passion for helping hospitals and patients with denial management and prevention.
Sarah is an LPN in the State of Maryland, a certified professional coder (CPC), a certified professional compliance officer (CPCO) and an attorney admitted to the Maryland Bar. She holds both an undergraduate and law degree from the University of Baltimore.
