Steve Albert serves as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer at R1, where he leads the company’s enterprise strategy, long-term priorities, and value creation agenda. He is responsible for driving growth initiatives across new markets, products, partnerships, and selective M&A to accelerate R1’s expansion and strengthen its competitive positioning.
Previously, Steve served as Chief Product Officer, where he led all technology development and spearheaded the launch of R37, R1’s AI Innovation Lab. In that role, he defined the company’s product vision and roadmap, driving innovation and advancing R1’s technology capabilities to better serve clients.
Steve brings more than two decades of leadership experience in new market development and product innovation across enterprise-scale data management and analytics organizations. He has a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing product, go-to-market, and data science teams that deliver product-led revenue growth.
Prior to joining R1 through the acquisition of Cloudmed, Steve held senior product and market development roles at 1010data, Mastercard, Equifax, and GeoPhy.
Steve earned a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
