After months of challenges, the Change Health cyberattack continues to plague healthcare providers with significant process disruption, with some struggling to pay staff because of poor cash flow. Payments and remittances that were once handled electronically must now be processed manually with paper forms mailed back and forth. Despite UnitedHealth reporting to its board that the business is back to normal, providers are still dealing with the fallout.

HHS Finalizes Rule On 340B Administrative Dispute Resolution Process

Years in the making, the Department of Health and Human Services finally issued its final rule on the 340B Administrative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process. The ADR process is required by the Affordable Care Act, but implementation has been slowed by pressure from drug manufacturers. The rule allows all 340B covered entities to use the ADR process to address claims disputed by drug companies.

1 in 4 Dropped From Medicaid Unwinding Now Uninsured

Almost one in four adults dropped from Medicaid health coverage as states unraveled a pandemic-era program are now uninsured, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. So far, more than 20 million people, about 21% of enrollees, have been dropped from the program that helped people retain insurance coverage during the declared COVID-19 emergency.
