Julie DiFrancesco

Julie is a vice president for R1 RCM’s Regulatory Navigation Solutions. With 33 years of experience in the health care industry and more than 29 years working specifically in reimbursement, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table for our clients.

In her current role, Julie is responsible for managing R1’s Regulatory Navigation Solutions services, including Medicare Bad Debt, Disproportionate Share Hospital, SSI Redetermination, Worksheet S-10 and 340B Recovery. She has been a national speaker on many topics related to Medicare reimbursement and taught a Medicare cost report class nationally for the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) for nine years.

Julie has held various leadership roles across many organizations, including Ernst & Young and Deloitte. Her leadership knowledge is centered on results-driven practices through adherence to compliance and ongoing education.

Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron and her Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from Cleveland State University. She is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the treasurer on the board of directors of Direction Home (Area Agency for the Aging) in the Akron, OH area.
